Born on 8th November 2000, Kartik Tyagi is an Indian cricketer who made his outstanding debut for Uttar Pradesh in 2017. He was awarded the very prestigious 18 Ranji Trophy on 6th October 2017, just a month before he turned 17 years old.


Kartik Tyagi made his remarkable debut for Uttar Pradesh in 2017-18 and won the Vijay Hazare Trophy on 5th February 2018. He joined the Indian team for the 2020 Under-19 Cricket World Cup. Then, Tyagi became a part of the Rajasthan Royals after the IPL auction in 2020. In October 2020, he participated in the Indian Premier League, playing for the Rajasthan Royals in a match against the Mumbai Indians.

Kartik Tyagi became one of the additional bowlers of the Indian cricket team for their international tour to Australia on 26th October 2020. On 21st September 2021, Kartik Tyagi was named Man of The Match after conceding just a single run in a match against Punjab Kings while defending 4. In 2022, he joined the Sunrisers Hyderabad and participated in the Indian Premier League tournament.

Kartik Tyagi is a fast-medium bowler and can swing the ball in both directions at a medium speed. He made his mark internationally at the U19 World Cup in 2020. He has remarkable speed, but his movements in the air and off the pitch are even more special. Kartik has a range of speeds and executes yorkers with the old ball. He joined the Rajasthan Royals in the year 2020, and this helped him to make his debut in the Indian Premier League. He was one of the fastest bowlers on his team.

Kartik Tyagi has been an outstanding performer in the team of India’s 2020 U-19 campaign. He has been consistent in making 140+ clicks and has also made his debut in the Indian Premier League in 2020.

Kartik Tyagi is very consistent in going beyond 140kmph, and this factor impressed the former captain of Uttar Pradesh, Rizwan Shamshad. He was delighted by Kartik Tyagi’s performance in a selection trial. Rizwan Shamshad used to be a remarkable bowler himself, and he bowled at great lengths and was efficient in hitting the target frequently. After his career as a bowler, he became the coach for his state of Uttar Pradesh in the Under-19 Cooch Behar Trophy.

Kartik Tyagi made an awe-inspiring debut in a match against Railways in October 2017 and managed to pick 3 wickets during 2 innings. Kartik Tyagi made a great impression on all of the spectators with his perfect line and length, and especially his speed. Later, he also made his debut for Uttar Pradesh and was the winner of the Vijay Hazare Trophy on 5th February, after defeating Delhi in Bilaspur. Bowling 9 overs in the match, he picked up 2 wickets while making 50 runs.

Tyagi was able to take 9 wickets in 5 matches in the Youth ODI series held in England this year and made his statement as a strike bowler before playing for the U19 World Cup. While playing against Afghanistan, Kartik Tyagi picked up 6 wickets in 3 games.

Tyagi rose to fame after playing for the U19 World Cup in 2020 and was able to take 11 wickets and make an outstanding score of 4/24 against Australia.

IPL career

Kartik Tyagi impressed everyone with his ability to move the ball around with great speed while playing for the World Cup. It also helped him join the Rajasthan Royals team with a salary of 1.3 crores. Kartik has a promising future as a cricket player and is an excellent asset to the Indian team.


Kartik Tyagi developed his speed while carrying sacks of harvest on his father’s farm. Unfortunately, they did not have enough funds for him to undergo special cricket training. But he overcame every obstacle to become a famous player.
